Why we give.
God is generous and so he calls us to be as well. What we do with what God has given us shows the world where our hearts are at and helps proclaim the gospel. We want to glorify God with every area of our lives, and that includes what we do with our finances.
We believe tithing is God’s ordained method to support His Church and spread the gospel. As taught in Malachi 3:10, God promises blessing to those who tithe. In addition, freewill offerings are also part of God’s plan, supporting both the Church’s needs and the spiritual growth of His people. As Luke 6:38 and 2 Corinthians 9:7 remind us, giving should be done willingly and cheerfully, for it is more blessed to give than to receive.
“Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given orders to the churches of Galatia, so you must do also: On the first day of the week, let each one of you lay something aside, storing up as he may prosper, that there be no collections when I come.” (1 Cor. 16:1,2)
